Bespoke begins with a blank sheet of pattern paper and more than thirty of your measurements. Your posture. The drop of your shoulder. The way you actually stand when you’re not thinking about it. From that, a pattern is cut for you and only you, then built through a series of fittings until the cloth follows you rather than the other way around.
At BR Bespoke, the founder cuts the first pattern for every new client. That is not a marketing line. It is how the house has worked since 2008.
The Houston studio
Our Houston studio sits on Westheimer, minutes from River Oaks and the Galleria. It is a private room, not a shop floor — a consultation and fitting experience arranged entirely around you and your calendar.
A first commission moves at an unhurried pace on purpose:
- Consultation — your life, your wardrobe, the rooms you walk into.
- Measurement — thirty-plus points, taken once, kept for life.
- Craft — full-canvas construction, hand-padded lapels, cloth from the great mills of Italy and England.
- Fittings — a baste fitting, a forward fitting, a final delivery. Two fittings are standard on every commission.
Most suits are ready four to six weeks from that first appointment.
The cloth
We source only from heritage mills — Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Holland & Sherry, Drago, Scabal, Dormeuil. Some have been weaving for three centuries. For a Houston climate, that matters more than most men expect: the right high-twist wool wears cool through a July that does not forgive heavy cloth.
